Planning to travel to Azerbaijan? Here’s what you need to know about COVID-19 test requirements before you go! First, travelers no longer need to submit a negative test result to enter—or to apply for a visa anymore—this rule has been updated. But when it comes to entering the country, there's still a catch. All travelers—including toddlers—must take a PCR test before entering Azerbaijan, and carry proof of it. Infants under one year of age are exempt—but their parents must show proof of age. For both Azerbaijani citizens and visitors, PCR testing is required within 72 hours before departure. If you're transiting through other countries, take the test 72 hours before your final direct flight to Azerbaijan. Important: Antigen tests are not accepted—only PCR tests are valid for entry. Even if you’re fully vaccinated or have recovered from COVID-19, you still must show a negative PCR test upon arrival. No test? You may be denied entry. Airport screening is only a secondary step—not a substitute. Stay safe and prepared—bring that PCR test result! Ready for your journey ahead? Azerbaijan awaits!
